A new restaurant has opened in East Cooper, replacing an existing eatery in The Market at Oakland.
ELEVEN81 opened earlier this month at the north Mount Pleasant shopping center with the same owners, but a new focus, look and menu, the business said in a news release.
The owners are hospitality veterans and restaurateurs Andy Palmer, David Clark, and Joe Sciortino, the company said in a news release. The trio helped grow Wild Wing Cafe from one location to 32 restaurants across the Southeast before selling the franchise in 2012.
In 2013, the owners opened Sol Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar, operating in Mount Pleasant, Summerville and Charlotte. Palmer also is a partner in Tavern & Table on Shem Creek, which opened in 2014.
The owners describe Eleven81 as a “family-friendly, locally owned and operated” restaurant and bar. Eleven81 is replacing the Wild Wing location at The Market at Oakland, which the three partners have held since 2009. Renovations began in June, the company said, and the location includes indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant is offering online ordering through its website and delivery services through DoorDash. ( Credit: Charleston Regional Business Journal)
