This townhouse subsection is known as Preston, in the Park West subdivision. There is a monthly regime fee that covers the landscaping, lawn maintenance and exterior building maintenance. Homeowners also pay an annual homeowners association fee for use of the Park West amenities (pool, tennis courts) that are located next to this subsection. In Preston you will find three different floorplans: 2 bed, 2 ½ bath, 1683 sqft; 4 bed, 3 bath, 1931 sqft; and 4 bed, 3 bath, 2284 sqft. There are a total of 100 town houses and each home is three stories high whereas the first floor is the garage (drive under tandem garage) and the next two levels are living areas. Known as Carriage Houses, these town homes were built with James Hardi cementious siding. Elements of the town homes include 9 ft smooth ceiling on the first floor of living space, hardwood flooring in the dining room, kitchen and breakfast room, Corian and granite countertops. Some of the newer town homes were built with elevator shafts. These homes are close to all Historic Charleston has to offer.
Right up from the Amenities Center of PARK WEST is a town home subdivision which I really like, called PRESTON. These were built by D R Horton. Most of them were built in the mid 2000’s. They finished about two years ago. These are two and three level town homes. They have a garage…they are very similar, honestly, to the ones in HAMLIN PARK, that were built by D R Horton as well. A lot of these back up to a woodlands buffer…the ones to the left and the ones to our right back up to other units, which is not as favorable. These do have master down and the ones to the right, the master is on the top floor. Again, PRESTON inside of PARK WEST next to the PARK WEST Amenity Center.
