Mayor Proposes Changes for Mount Pleasant, SC

Water Taxi Seeks New Dock
Monday, January 11th, 2010Charleston’s Parks and Capital Projects Department applied for a permit from federal regulators to build a new floating dock near historic downtown Charleston. This dock would allow various private water taxi companies to operate in Waterfront Park.

Mt. Pleasant Traffic Relief
Monday, September 14th, 2009Mt Pleasant, SC has a new addition: Hungry Neck Boulevard will be completed soon and open to the public. This $4.7 million project has been delayed due to bad summer weather. The road is anticipated to be open to traffic by early November.
The new two-lane road will link the Isle of Palms Connector and Six Mile Road. It will have a median along with pedestrian walkways on both sides of the road. The roadway will be a much-needed relief to the already busy US 17.
