Historical Ship Retires in Charleston

Interested in war history? The USS Laffey, a World War II destroyer ship, has retired in Charleston. This ship who’s fondly referred to as “the ship that would not die” was moved from the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum on Charleston Harbor up the Cooper River to a dry-dock in North Charleston.
