Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market

By admin | March 24, 2009

The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market

The new market will reopen at Moultrie Middle School in the spring of 2009. The design of the new market calls for pedestrian access on all four sides of the site and easy vendor access. More than 10,000 sq. ft. of available programmable space will be shared by both the school and the market. The gateway to the market will be located at the corner of Simmons Street and Coleman Boulevard, and the perimeter will be fenced in for safety with aluminum picket fence and brick columns.

The open air pavilions and their relationship to the majestic live oak trees will reinforce the Lowcountry playful form and character of the architecture. The new market will be an anchor for the revitalization of Coleman Boulevard and will provide a unique destination for residents and visitors alike.
